FROM A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE TO AN INTERNATIONAL MISSION.

I am Ragusa Matteo Stefano, an Italian entrepreneur active in real estate, vehicle rental and private aviation. The International Fraud Guard also grew out of my own personal experience.

In the course of my international work I have faced personal and commercial situations involving conduct I considered extortionate, disputes with former collaborators and doubts about the authenticity of the professional credentials of certain counterparties.

For around two years, while I kept working between London, Dubai, Lugano, Miami and Melbourne in the three fields I operate in — real estate, luxury car rental and private aviation — I reconstructed and documented, contract after contract, a personal and commercial matter that involved me directly. It began with a dispute with people I had brought into my activities and led me to verify the professional credentials of those working alongside me. During that period I publicly challenged the title claimed by a person presenting himself as a legal professional and reported what I considered irregularities in earlier business dealings. The facts I recount are the ones I can document personally: I name no one, I pass no judgment on third parties and I do not act in place of the authorities.

That experience led me to understand how difficult it can be, even for an international entrepreneur, to verify the reliability of a counterparty, identify a genuinely qualified professional and protect my own interests across different jurisdictions.

This awareness gave rise to the idea of the association: turning an individual experience into a project of prevention and collective support.

Our aim is not to replace the authorities or to pass judgment on individuals, but to help those in difficulty obtain reliable information and turn to competent professionals.
